[Weekly Notes 27/2025] Past the thick of it
It's been nine weeks since my last note, many things have happened since.
I've moved back to Bangalore. While Goa's been great, I'd have to half-ass work as well as life to be here. I love Goa for its nice, DIY pace. However, working intentionally or building out of Goa would be an uphill battle. Vin and I are back in Goa to rest, pack up, and move back.
Since I'll be in Blr for some time, I've found myself a new place in Bangalore. It's beautiful, has two terraces, and is in a nice enough locality. The setup bothers be a little, but we'll see how it goes.
In September, I will be meeting up with my team in Sydney – About 12 days of co-working, planning, and fun. I'm looking forward to it. The Australian Tourist (Business subclass) visa was surprisingly easy to get and quick to arrive. Quite pleasant, since I was skittish after my Schengen rejection earlier in the year.
After using Vin's spare Macbook Air for over six months, I think it's time for me to get my own. This will be my first purchase since 2014, when I got the HP Pavilion N17 after getting out of school. It still boots up.
I might get the Macbook Pro M4 (16GB memory + 512 GB storage) with Nano-texture display. In Australia, that'll cost me AUD 2729. In India, the same config would cost me AUD 3291. For that kind of price (AUD 3529), I could get the Macbook Pro M4 Pro (24GB memory + 512 GB storage) with Nano-texture display. Honestly, I'm not entirely sure what config I'm going to go for. While I'm not a power user, I do want it last me over half a decade without obsolescence.I've been taking nootropic supplements for over a month now. While it's difficult to be sure of the effects without comprehensive bloodwork, I do feel better. My mood is better, I sleep well, and my energy level feels more consistent. I'll write about it in my next post. Meanwhile, here's the stack:
- Morning: Omega3 + B12 + D3
- Night: Collagen + Zinc + Magnesium
With such a happening first half of the hear, Vin and I are looking forward to settling in and enjoying some downtime. Although, we asready have a bunch of engagements lined up over the next few months. I, for one, woul really would like to make Kite-surfing happen in Thoothukudi sometime next month. But before that, we gotta find Vin a nice place.
